JUNE 23: CITY TOUR AND RUINS AROUND CUSCO.

DIA 25  DE JUNIO: TOUR A MACHUPICCHU.

Early in the morning, we will go pick you up at your hotel in Cusco to take you to the train station. Arrival to the train station and departure for a 3h 45m trip to the small town of Aguas Calientes, Upon arrival, transfer by train to the Citadel of Machu Picchu; the trip takes 25 min. and you will arrive in the entrance of Machu Picchu. We begin the guided visit of the Citadel of Machu Picchu, which will take us around 2h 30m. During this time, you will visit Inca ruines, The guided visit ends early in the afternoon and some people might decide do go down to Aguas Calientes by bus immediately. Others might prefer to freely walk around the citadel and take the bus to go to Aguas Calientes to have luch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, you will take the train to go back to Cusco. The journey has a duration of 4h 15m approximately. Upon arrival to the train station at night, transfer to your hotel and end of our services.

INTI RAYMI 2011

Cusco celebrates the Inti Raymi with occasion of the winter solstice -the solar new year - for a town which main cult object was the Inti (the god sun). In the Inca time this was a religious ceremony, now is a theater representation. However this expression generates a feeling of identity in the town that evokes values and memories that are still present in our days.
It also brings to live a time that transcended generations in the town of Cusco (Qosqo). The version is expressed in the original Quechua language. The celebration starts on the Temple of the Sun (Koricancha) then continues to Sacsayhuaman fortress. We will provide transportation and entrance. Afternoon transfer to the Hotel and overnight.

1.- Qorikancha or temple of the Sun.
2.- The Main square.
3.- Saqsaywaman.

08:00 Hrs. Meeting point Qoricancha.
09:00 Hrs. Qorikancha: Beginning of the stagingn.  Length: 45 minutos.
10:30 Hrs. Auqaypata (Main square): The Inka and his real court , enter to the Intikijllu street. Length: 1 hour.
13:00 Hrs. Main staging in the Principal sacred square Saqsaywaman with a duration of 90 minutes.

SACRED VALLEY TOUR

The bus pick up the passengers to take them to the Sacred Valley where the climate and geography is unique and is the best corn crop in the world. Performed some stops where you can see places of interest, the first town you visit Pisac is, is their traditional market tour, place to buy handicrafts. Later there will be a stop for lunch at a tourist restaurant and continue the journey to Ollantaytambo where you can make the visit to the archaeological complex. Then we will visit the village of Chinchero be touring the streets and if possible will visit the temple that houses colonial paintings of the Cuzco school, completed a return visit to Cusco, the bus stops for passengers at their hotels.
Pisaq: Typical and colonial picturesque village, which is a fair of great appreciation for the tourists. The tour is not usually includes a visit to the archaeological site, but on request can be included, is not recommended to visit the archaeological site for people with vertigo in height, the Inca Trail to reach the archaeological site is on the brink of a cliff, the ruins of Pisac is made up of neighborhoods and is considered the largest pre-Columbian cemetery in Latin America.
Ollantaytambo: The population living in the place of the houses of their ancestors to whom they have changed by tile roofs, streets are narrow and incas straight line while maintaining the water channels, there is an impressive terraces in mountain to climb to enjoy the view of the archaeological complex and the valley.
Chinchero: At the time was passing through the village to reach Machupicchu. Some people keep their current habits Incas as bartering, are the highest authority in the path of Varayoc its streets can see the typical dress of the local women.
